After 38 PLA military aircraft entered Taiwan’s “Southwest airspace” on October 1, Taiwan’s Defense Department issued another instant military intelligence briefing on October 2, saying that on the same day, 20 PLA military aircraft entered the “Southwest airspace”. Including 14 j-16 fighters, 4 Su-30 fighters and 2 yun-8 antisubmarine aircraft.
The briefing mentioned that Taiwan’s “air force” sent air patrol forces to deal with this, used radio to drive away, and sent ground guidance forces to track it.

As for the PLA’s military operations around the Taiwan Strait, Zhang Chunhui, spokesman of the eastern theater, previously said that Taiwan and its affiliated islands are a sacred and inseparable part of China’s territory, and the Chinese Army’s combat readiness cruise is completely legitimate and legal, which is a necessary action for the current security situation in the Taiwan Strait and the need to safeguard national sovereignty.
